Shinobi Match Better Notion of Progress


In this new iteration of the shinobi match, the point we wanted to focus was to give a better notion of progress to the player. So they feel they are beating the game, have rewards which motivate them, have clear notion of their progress so they can set their own milestones.

New levels were added and the levels were broken in multiple missions. This was done to let the player have milestones during the game and also to give him a clear understanding that something will happen after he beats a mission. While creating more levels we also made sure the levels had a better progress of difficulty. Now shinobi match has a total of 30 levels and 5 missions.

Another point to address was to display the current level, the current mission and the total of levels/missions in multiple places, so the player now has a notion of their progress and can understand easily how he is progressing.

Each mission now have a screen to select the level to play.


The progress of the player now is saved between plays, so the player can leave and can back any time he wants.

The nunchucks were too strong so we put them only appearing a bit later.

The feedback when showing wrong groups done during the game was not very visible so the background of the play area was changed to allow for better visibility.
